Client: New York Yankees
Project: Yankees Museum at the new Yankees Stadium
Location: The Bronx, New York City
Designer: C&G Partners LLC
Floor Space: 5,800 sq. ft.
Challenge: Bring the design vision of C&G Partners LLC to life.
DCI Solution: Opening for the 2009 season, the new stadium needed a history transplant. The team brought in Monument Park, Thurman Munson’s locker, plenty of memorabilia and built an actual museum inside. Stainless steel and glass cases present each chapter of the Yankees’ past under energy efficient LED lighting. More than 900 collector-quality autographed balls artfully depict a pitch of Don Larsen’s “perfect game”. It’s a larger-than-life experience – just like the Yankees.
