Challenge: Bring to life the visions of two design agencies to make the Emirates Airline brand and message resonate with attendees.
DCI Solution: For our friends in Dubai, we worked on three separate venues alongside two different design agencies. Working with the Pulse Agency, we built two sleek, eye-catching steel and glass enclosures. These marvels of modern elegance looked every bit like permanent architecture, but were actually engineered to be temporary structures. Each spanned 30 ft. wide x 13 ft. deep x 12 ft. high constructed with tempered glass sides, a super-clear acrylic roof, all supported by a custom steel structure. In keeping with the luxury of the Emirates brand, both “Cubes” were fully climate controlled and included high-resolution graphics, digital and interactive multimedia, and an area where attendees could experience the comfort and relaxation of the Emirates First Class Suite.
In addition to the outside exhibits, we collaborated with the Contempo Agency on a fully customized Emirates hospitality suite in Arthur Ashe Stadium. The space was gutted and rebuilt to exacting design specifications with custom cabinetry that included a sculptural organically-shaped service bar, and an internally lit buffet built entirely of glass. A custom restroom, large format backlit graphics, textured wall surfaces, and distinctive flooring & tile work completed the design.
