Location: New York, Boston and San Francisco
Challenge: Prepare a backdrop, oval platform, reception desk and other components for a three-city presentation tour prior to Alibaba’s IPO announcement. DCI built all of the components, and handled the installation, dismantle, shipping and logistics for three very different hotel venues in cities across the country, in just three short weeks.
DCI Solution: Presentations were held in New York and Boston on September 8 and 9, and in San Francisco on the 12th. Because of the very tight schedule, DCI created two identical 10-foot-high backdrops, and the one used in New York was shipped to San Francisco. On site, the team had only 12 hours for installation. Some components had to be disassembled to fit into hotel elevators. But despite the challenges the entire setup, including audio/visual, was ready in time for a walk-though by the client at 8:00am.
